Monroe Capital Expands Origination Team

Monroe Capital LLC, a private investment firm focused on investments in middle-market and lower-middle market companies, today announced that it has expanded its origination staff with the addition of the following professionals: Thomas G. Karle, Laura M. Kraus, Cameron S. Fleming, and Lori Potter.

Thomas G. Karle, Managing Director, will be responsible for origination in the Eastern region. Mr. Karle has over 22 years experience in commercial lending and leveraged finance. Prior to joining Monroe, Mr. Karle was Managing Director at MFC Capital Funding where he was responsible for new business origination. Prior to MFC Capital Funding, he was a Vice President with Harris/Bank of Montreal’s asset-based lending group in Chicago.
Laura M. Kraus, Managing Director, will be responsible for origination in the Midwest region. Ms. Kraus has over 10 years of experience in leveraged and structured finance. Prior to joining Monroe, Ms. Kraus was a Director at MFC Capital Funding where she was responsible for new business origination. Prior to MFC Capital Funding, Ms. Kraus was with JP Morgan Securities where her focus was on the syndication of asset-based transactions in both the middle and large loan markets.
Lori Potter will be responsible for origination in the Southeast region. Ms. Potter has over 25 years experience in both asset-based and cash-flow lending with GE Capital and GMAC Structured Finance. Most recently, she has been providing financial consulting, capital raise advice and fractional CFO services to middle-market clients.
Cameron S. Fleming will be responsible for origination in New York City and its metropolitan area. Mr. Fleming has over 22 years of experience in leveraged and structured finance. Most recently, Mr. Fleming was Director of Sourcing for Golden Tree Asset Management. Prior to Golden Tree, Mr. Fleming was a Senior Vice President at Highbridge/Zwirn where he was head of middle-market debt origination.
